The £20 same day fee is a bank fee I believe, and not related to their company. Anytime I've tried to get money in same day I too have been charged £20.

I took a small loan out with Cash Genie last Summer for £120 as I was going on holiday and felt it would be adequate/sufficient cover if I needed any additional funding whilst I was away.

I missed my first payment with Cash Genie and I was therefore hit with a charge which I felt was fair enough. I decided to rollover my payday at the cost of interest but requested that the full amount to be taken on the next payday which was agreed.

Months down the line, I noticed that they hadn't took the full payment and had continued to charge me at the rollover rate instead. I rang them up and spoke to a member of customer services who said he'd noticed they'd dropped a clanger and would ask his supervisor to see if I could just pay the remaining amount of the original loan. I spoke to the same person twice and he never got back to me.

I emailed Cash Genie using the address based on their website numerous times to explain the situation. However, as like before, they continued to just take the interest. I closed down my bank account to stop them taking any further payments which resulted in them hassling me with calls, texts and emails.

I rang Cash Genie and spoke to a different member of customer service who despite being quite understanding put me through to one of the managers. He showed no consideration or understanding towards the situation I found myself in. He made me an offer just to pay the original amount plus normal rate of interest which I found offensive given the fact it was an error on their behalf. After I turned down his offer, he was quite rude, abrupt and threatened me with court action.

I spoke to someone called Joanne Connor Bauptisa, who after a long conversation with I reluctantly agreed to pay £20 over the course of six months despite the fact Cash Genie had already recieved the full amount by just taking interest from me over the months. She said she would send out a letter to confirm the agreement we had made and would also attach the company's bank details so that I could make a manual payment each month.

Needless to say I didn't receive any letter, I've since rang to speak to Joanne and emailed her to which I've had no response. I've done the same with other members of the collection team and none of them have bothered to reply. Instead, they've continued to send me text messages and have also sent a couple of letters just to mount up the interest and charges.

Having read reviews on this company (not just here, but elsewhere too) I've perhaps been a bit lucky that they haven't ate into the money in my bank account. However I do sympathize with those who have had the misfortune of dealing with this company.

I'm already looking to get the financial ombudsman and trading standards involved in my own case. If anyone has any other suggestions then I would be keen to know.

after finding out the full extent of what your company does, it is now my mission in life to pressure whoever it takes to get the laws changed to stop you preying on the disadvantaged.

my daughter is one. 150 pond cost her almost 500 within a month, as she had no overdraft facility but you get round this with cheque guarantee card and take 50 pound every 5 mins, a further 300 pound was added in charges by bank.

She now has to get a loan so the 150, or 130 after your 20 pound same day fee, will now cost her 44 pound a month for the next 2 yrs!!!!!!

I am confident you will be stopped and if i can accelaerate that in any way i will

I had a number of loans with this company which were all paid back on time however the final loan I had with this company unfortunately went unpaid due to me losing my job before the repayment could come out of my account. I attempted on a number of occasions to set up a repayment plan but they were not interested ignoring my communications with them. I am currently on benefit while I look for another job and without warning they took 7 payments of £10 out of my account without my authorisation and have left me now without a penny to feed myself for the next two weeks !! They are ok all the time you are paying them their £25 on the £100 each month but as soon as you have any difficulties they add on £100's in charges!!

Have had several loans with cash genie theyve been helpful, quick service and nice on phone. dont know what the fuss is all about!! everyone who posts bad stuff has gone overdrawn i reckon, when do they learn?!? cash genie blog is interesting too!

Not too bad, it was my 3rd payday kloan and it was all veyr similair to the last 1 i had.

Cash Genie did annoy me when they needed to see my debit card but i suppose it was my fault for not having at least 50p in it for them to do their check.

Still have a loan with them and the rolloer option is helping over xmas.

I do not believe in rolling loans over however it can help certain people.

I just phoned Cash Genie (Intime Finance) up to ask why they have taken £337.32 out of my account within 1 day within 29 different transactions, I explained to them that I was willing to sort this out with them as i know i owe them but for them to take out all the money i had for xmas was wrong very wrong and when asked why they said because we had to and its not my christmas they are ruining it is the one of my little girl !!! and they said that is not their problem - total disrespectful and I will never use them or reccommend them to others ever again

Ihave just had 375 quid taken out of my acount by this company - i had a loan off them ans have been trying to pay them back but instead of speaking to me they took out 20 different payments of 10.65 within 1 day - i am struggling at the mo and was illing to sort this out but now they have taking all the money i had for xmas - so thanks

Now a payday loan is a quick loan fix until you next get paid!

Short story is..... companies like this are expensive... Yes... BUT they are only there for a short term cash flow problem! If you cannot afford to pay them back within the maximum of 30 days then don't take the loan!!!!

The same thing happened to me this morning, where they took £40 pounds from my account. I did take out a loan with cash genie but now I'm on a Debt Managment program.Cash Genie is being paid by my Debt Managment company but now they've passed over my accoun to this intime finance which I can't seem to find on the internet.Now my bank can't do anything about it because these people have got my card details. People be careful and don't take out payday loans from any of these phoney companies. They only want to take from you and put you in more debt.

I have fallen behind with my repayment and they are threatening to contact my Employer to ask for the money to be taken directly out of my wages. They also attempt to take money out of my bank account. I would gladley come to some sort of re-payment agreement, but now I am reluctant, after reading that they will empty my bank account. Maybe I should just let the Courts decide on how I should re-pay the £200 (which has now become over £400) due to vast interest rates and late fees being applied. Any suggestions? Oh and by the tone of some of the replies stated on this page, I believe that the "guests" may be, in fact employees of Intime Finance, because this is the same attitude and tone they take when speaking to them.

i took out a loan with cash genie of which i have missed payments, but also paid as much money as i can to try and pay my loan off. i have today received a bank statement advising i now owe the bank £800 due to cash genie trying to take money a minimum of 6 times a day EVERYDAY that isnt there. his is totally unacceptable and i will be reporting this.

I recently learned that they changed their company name to Cash Genie UK.

ive have just been to my bank and this company have taken over £300 from my account 2 transactions of £10 and then over the next 2 days they took over 6 payments of £50...ive just been on the phone to natwest who fraud team will be in contact with this company and also they have informed the police.....!!!!

They did relower 2 thimes my relower day is today,wanted pay full and they have charged me again for the relower.Do not use them

Why is it that the only people on here that moan are people that take out loans think it dont matter about paying it back when they should and then cry lik litte girlz. I was on holiday in tenerife and run outta money, try gettin thru to your bank abroad for an overdraft, grrrr. I found cashgeni applied and had £200 in my bank in an hour. wicked service

I have always got along well with CashGenie, I borrow money, pay it back on time and get a credit increase.

I took out a loan of 200 pounds with cash genie 3 months ago, i missed 2 payments and they sent loads of letters asking for payment, in currently going to court for bancrupsy and spoke to there sales team and agreed a payment of 40 pounds i owed them 430 pounds then the next day they took out 240 pounds without permission and now dont have enough for bancrupsy or court. I spoke to them and they said they are autherised to take the money and they have scrapped the intrest charges and closed the account. im not impressed leaving me in the mess with court coming up shortly i will let the court know about this re-payment of theres.

i used cash genie to fill the gap between payday,i missed my payment due date as i was away on holiday and lost my debit card,when i got bk i was in alot of arrears they sent me emails to say if i was hving problems they would accept a 5pounds payment as a good will gesture till next payday and set me up a payment plan,as soon as i rang them with my new card details they emptyed my account leaving me with no more to support my children and charged me 130 interest just my missing a payment when i asked about wot my email said ,there replyed it was just a gesture and didnt have to carry it out which left me in a mess i still have my loan outstandin and more interest on top,cant wait to pay it all off.i will never use them again.

I would advise people not to use this Company. I was having a few problems when the payment date was due and they contacted my employer and told them I had broken the law by obtaining money through deceipt. They also bombarded me with telephone calls at home, at work, and also harrassed another person who was working with me and told the person that I owed them money. It caused me to have a nervous breakdown. They also operate under the name.
